Turkmenistan and Japan discussed the establishment of direct flights

The aviation departments of Turkmenistan and Japan discussed the establishment of direct flights between the countries and signed a corresponding document, reports the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan.

The meeting took place within the framework of a four-day visit to Japan of the Turkmen economic delegation led by the Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan Rahimberdy Jepbarov.

During the business trip, the Turkmen side also held negotiations with members of the Japan-Turkmen Committee for Economic Cooperation, heads of Japanese government bodies, organizations and financial institutions, as well as with leading Japanese companies.

Topics of the meetings include the implementation of previously reached agreements and new opportunities for developing cooperation in the energy sector in order to achieve carbon neutrality. Several documents were signed during the visit, the source notes.
