Turkmenistan and Interpeace intend to develop cooperation

The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Vepa Hajiyev, and the President of the International Peacebuilding Organization, Itonde Kakoma, held a meeting on October 7 on issues of further cooperation.

As reported on the website of the permanent mission of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed the prospects for strengthening the partnership in the field of peacekeeping, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in promoting peace initiatives and preventing conflicts, expressing their readiness to actively participate in peacekeeping activities.

Particular attention was paid to the policy of neutrality, which has long become the basis of international relations of Turkmenistan.

Itonde Kakoma emphasized the importance of the policy of neutrality for strengthening global security and stability and expressed support for Turkmenistan’s efforts in the region.
