Turkmenistan and Great Britain discussed issues of cooperation in trade, culture, education and medicine

The issues of Turkmen-British cooperation were discussed in Ashgabat by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and the British Ambassador to Turkmenistan Lucia Wilde, the press service of the country's Foreign Ministry reports.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to a wide range of issues in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas.

Byashimova noted that there is great potential for further expanding the areas of interaction between the two states, including the intensification of inter-parliamentary ties.

The activities of the Turkmen-British Trade and Industry Council, which serves as "an important platform for the exchange of views on further building up cooperation in all sectors of the economy," received a positive assessment.

Among the promising areas of Turkmen-British relations, interaction in the field of education and science, as well as in the field of healthcare, medicine, and environmental protection was highlighted.
