Turkmenistan And Germany Hold Joint Meeting on Economic Cooperation

Turkmenistan and Germany convened the 10th meeting of the Turkmen-German Working Group on Economic Cooperation on Tuesday in Berlin, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The meeting consisted of two sessions. In the first session, participants discussed the economic opportunities in both countries, the current state of bilateral trade and economic relations, and strategies for further development.

The second session involved representatives from German business organizations and associations, who addressed specific areas of collaboration, including investments, financial and banking activities, energy, the oil and gas sector, renewable energy, environmental protection, water management, agriculture, healthcare, transportation, logistics, and the transition to a green economy, as well as support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Both sides exchanged views on expanding mutually beneficial partnerships and discussed the implementation of the "Roadmap" for developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany, along with future steps in this direction.

On September 29, 2023, Berlin hosted a Turkmen-German business forum attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
