Turkmenistan and Georgia Discuss Educational Cooperation

The online conference at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on Wednesday brought together specialists and representatives from Sokhumi State University in Georgia.

The event focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, with active participation from professors, lecturers, and students at the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.

The conference emphasized the importance of aligning Turkmenistan's educational system with international standards, which can help address various challenges and enhance education quality. Participants highlighted the growing collaboration with international educational institutions and research centers, showcasing the country’s effective foreign policy strategy.

During the session, Professor Ovezdurdy Muhammedberdiyev, researcher Badri Nachkebia, and director Indira Dzagania discussed ways to expand educational and research opportunities between the two countries. They particularly noted the significance of online learning in preparing future international specialists.

This event represented a significant step in developing educational cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia, opening new avenues for interaction between universities in both countries.

On September 11, 2024, Sokhumi State University in Tbilisi will host a ceremonial opening of the Magtymguly Pyragy auditorium, commemorating the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet.
