National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Ali Rashid Al-Jarwan, executive director of Dragon Oil. The parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation in the fuel and energy industry, TDH reports.
Al-Jarwan noted the friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE, based on mutual trust, and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work in Turkmenistan. Dragon Oil has been successfully operating in the country for many years.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized active bilateral cooperation thanks to the joint efforts of the leaders of both countries.He noted that he remembers with particular warmth a working trip to the UAE in January, during which a wide range of bilateral relations were discussed at a meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Continuing the meeting, it was noted that Turkmenistan and the UAE are among the richest countries in the world in terms of natural gas and oil reserves, and have extensive experience in the development of the oil and gas industry. The National Leader of the Turkmen people declared their readiness to further expand productive cooperation with Dragon Oil.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the existing mutual interest will become the basis for further fruitful cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
