Turkmenistan and Cyprus outlined a plan for the development of bilateral relations

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos. As noted in the message of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting “Central Asia - European Union” in Luxembourg.

The ministers discussed the development of political and diplomatic interaction between the two countries. The expediency of parallel accreditation of ambassadors in Turkmenistan and Cyprus was noted, which will contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral relations.

The heads of foreign affairs departments also discussed issues of cooperation on the platforms of international organizations, noting the importance of joint work on current issues on the international agenda.

At the end of the meeting, the diplomats expressed mutual interest in developing trade and economic cooperation. It was proposed to hold consultations on the exchange of business delegations and identifying specific areas of cooperation.
