Turkmenistan and Armenia organized an online concert of choirs

The joint online concert was organized by the choral societies of the National Conservatory of Turkmenistan named after Maya Kuliyeva and the Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas, the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" reports.

The concert featured works by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, “Dutar Ovazy” to music by Danatar Ovezov and “Prayer” from the opera “Leyli and Mejnun”, which were performed by the student choir of the National Conservatory of Turkmenistan and the Armenian State Chamber Choir Over.

The leadership of the Turkmen choir was carried out by Kurban Babaev - choirmaster, People's Artist of Turkmenistan, associate professor of the department of conducting. The Choir of Armenia performed under the direction of Honored Art Worker, Rector of the Yerevan State Conservatory Sona Oganesyan.

Continuing the concert, students of the Turkmen Conservatory performed the songs Ýuzüňden and Gözüm düşdi, completing their part of the concert program with works by Alexander Harutyunyan: the cantata "About the Motherland", "Zazdravnaya".

The State Chamber Choir of Armenia "Over" performed a cycle of songs by Estonian composer Veljo Tormis "Autumn Landscapes", Gustav Holst "I Love My Love", two cycles of Komitas and a Christmas song arranged by George Vui.

Let us remind you that the two music universities are linked by long-standing bonds of friendship. Conservatory teachers and students meet regularly to exchange best practices.
