Turkmenistan and Afghanistan Sign 10 Contracts Worth Over $200 Million

Turkmen delegation, led by the Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, Nokerguly Ataguliev, during their visit to Herat, Afghanistan, met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan, Nooriddin Azizi. Following the meeting, 10 contracts and 2 commercial memoranda were signed.

According to the Tasnim agency on Tuesday, the agreements, totaling over $200 million, pertain to the construction sector and include the supply of rebar, paints, marble, and food materials.

Azizi noted that the meeting has created optimal conditions for expanding trade and economic relations between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.

During the visit to Herat, the Turkmen delegation also met with the governor of Herat province, Noor Ahmad Islamjar.
