Turkmenistan and a Belarusian university intend to expand scientific and educational exchange

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev and the leadership of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk discussed the possibility of expanding scientific and educational exchange, training and retraining of specialists.

The discussion was held during N. Shagulyev’s visit to the Vitebsk region and visit to the university. This was reported on the website of the Turkmen embassy.

This Belarusian university has 7 faculties and trains professional personnel in 32 specialties. Specialties include: architect, designer, civil engineer, mechanical engineer, engineer/chemical technologist, energy engineer, surveyor, programmer, cybersecurity specialist, lawyer, customs specialist, teacher, lecturer, translator and other.

A separate meeting was also held with students, including from Turkmenistan. The Ambassador spoke to the student audience, talking about cultural events in the year “The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi”.

During his speech, Nazarguly Shagulyev introduced the meeting participants to the book of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Youth is the support of the Motherland”.

The ambassador also presented the leadership of Polotsk State University with a book with poems by Magtymguly Fraga, translated into Belarusian, as well as a special issue of the magazine “Turkmenistan” dedicated to the Turkmen classic.

Next, the Turkmen diplomat met with the teaching staff of the university in Polotsk, got acquainted with the educational process, individual scientific developments and laboratories, and the living conditions of Turkmen students. Currently, 50 citizens of Turkmenistan are studying at Polotsk State University.
