Turkmenistan Airlines to Start Regular Flights to Minsk From October

Turkmenistan Airlines will start regular flights the Belarussian capital Minsk in October, the Press Service of Minsk National Airport announced on Thursday.

"The start of flights on a regular basis will start on October 1. Flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800 on the Ashgabat-Minsk-Turkmenabat route on Saturdays," the statement said.

The planes flying from Ashgabat will arrive in Minsk in morning and from the Belarusian capital they will fly back to Turkmenabat in afternoon.

In early September, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave Mammethan Chakiyev, the General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers, the task to prepare proposals on increasing the routes and the number of international flights.
