Turkmenistan adopted 23 new laws in 10 months of 2024

The Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted 23 laws and 19 resolutions in the period from January to October of this year, including important legislative acts on energy conservation and hydrometeorological activities. This was reported by the Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova at a government meeting.

According to the head of the Turkmen parliament, during the reporting period, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan significantly expanded international cooperation. 37 meetings were held within the framework of interparliamentary relations, credentials were received from 14 foreign ambassadors.

Deputies and specialists of the parliament took part in 98 seminars on the modernization of legislative activity, and also made 33 working trips to foreign countries.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, commenting on the information presented, emphasized the need for further improvement of national legislation taking into account world practice and national principles, as well as the importance of strengthening international cooperation.
