Turkmenabat Cotton-Spinning Factor Exports Over 6.5 Thousand Tons of Yarn

Turkmenabat Cotton-Spinning Factory in Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat has achieved high results in the export of finished products, sending to international markets 6,595 tons of cotton yarn since the beginning of this year.

According to Türkmen Gündogary newspaper’s Saturday issue, the cotton-spinning factory has produced a total of 7,315 tons of yarn during the period. The growth rate amounted to more than 108% compared to the same period last year.

Turkmen cotton yarn is in high demand among major companies in the United Arab Emirates, USA, Turkey and other countries. In addition, Turkmen textiles are among the most popular commodities on sale ar the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of the country.

The structure of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan includes more than 80 textile enterprises. In total, about 26 thousand specialists work in the area. Turkmenistan exports over 55% of domestic textile products to international markets.
