Turkmen-Uzbek Inter-Regional Forum Sees Agreements Worth $451 Million

The first Turkmen-Uzbek inter-regional forum held in Uzbekistan’s city Bukhara on Wednesday resulted in the signing of around 40 documents worth $451 million, Sputnik.uz reports with reference to the Press Service of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.

The documents on further strengthening of cooperation between entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan include export-import trade agreements. In particular, Turkmen entrepreneurs reached a number of agreements on cooperation with their Uzbek counterparts.

According to the signed documents, the sides plan to export and import agricultural products, foodstuffs, construction and industrial goods.

The businesses of the countries also consider the establishment of a joint carpet factory.
