The 13th meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation took place in Ashgabat, with the delegation from Tajikistan led by Deputy Prime Minister Sulaimon Ziyozoda.
According to Turkmenistan’s official media on Tuesday, the discussions focused primarily on cooperation in the trade and economic sectors.
Participants explored prospects for increasing trade volumes, boosting investments, and implementing joint projects, particularly in energy, transportation, logistics, agriculture, and industry.
The importance of strengthening contacts between business communities was emphasized, noting that regular joint events help promote business development.
The delegations also reviewed new forms of long-term economic collaboration, including the introduction of advanced technologies and innovations.
Cultural cooperation was also a key topic, with recognition of successful cross-cultural events like reciprocal cultural days. The sides further discussed expanding cooperation in healthcare and sports.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a protocol was signed summarizing the agreements reached.
