Turkmen Sock Manufacturer Exports Four Million Pairs of Its Products

Akar Tekstil Economic Society has produced more than 5 million pairs of Akar branded socks in 2021, shipping more than 4 million pairs of it to foreign markets, the country’s Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.

The company, located in Ak Bugday etrap of Turkmenistan’s Ahal velayat, produces 15 types of men's, women's and children's socks made of natural cotton and blended yarn with lycra.

The production facility, equipped with modern knitting machines of Mateс Silver and Lonati brands, is capable of producing 500 thousand pairs of socks per month.

The company plans to expand exports and double production in 2022 with the production of modern and high-quality socks.
