Turkmen scientists were the first to obtain hydrogen fuel by electrolysis of water. This was stated by the director of the Center for Hydrogen Energy at the Y. Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas Hakberdi Hoshdurdyev during the OGT-2023 conference, Turkmenportal correspondent reports.
The resulting hydrogen was experimentally tested as a fuel and its calorific value was studied.
Also, a laboratory installation was developed at the Hydrogen Energy Center, in which hydrogen and carbon were produced for the first time in Turkmenistan using a plasma-chemical method, the director of the Center said.
Producing hydrogen fuel by electrolysis of water is a process in which water is decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen under the influence of an electric current. Hydrogen is an environmentally friendly and efficient fuel that can be used in various fields, such as transport, energy, industry and everyday life.
The plasma-chemical method for producing hydrogen is a method in which hydrogen is released from various compounds, such as water, methane, hydrogen sulfide and others, under the action of plasma - an ionized gas with high temperature and energy.
