Prestigious competition in mathematics, physics and computer science brought together in Almaty almost five hundred young intellectuals from fifteen countries of the world. Turkmen experts competed with their peers from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Indonesia, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Georgia and other countries.
The most popular in number of participants were "fights" between young mathematicians; more than 200 children attended them. The rest competed in the knowledge of physics and information technology.
Our country was represented by fourteen pupils of the state boarding school for especially gifted children, as well as the Ashgabat secondary schools №№ - 86, 87 and 135 and Dashoguz - № 26.
The Turkmen team, under the supervision of Arslan Hodjiev, the mathematics teacher at the boarding school for gifted children, was represented in all subject tours and showed one of the best team results.
Jepbar Asgarov (school for gifted children) and Kerim Kochekov (School No. 135) were the holders of silver medals in the math and computer science tours.Representatives of the same educational institutions Kadyrberdy Annabaev and Agamurat Begenjow became bronze prizes.
A total score before the bronze was not enough for Akmurad Tirkeshov and Shatlyk Byashimov from the school for gifted children.
The organizers prepared eventful cultural program for the participants of the Zhautykov Olympiad. The participants made excursions to museums and were acquainted with the sights of Almaty.
