Turkmen schoolchildren took three prizes in the international mathematical Olympiad

Three prize-winning medals were won by Turkmen schoolchildren who took part in the 25th Junior International Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (JBMO-2021), which was held in a remote format, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports.

The silver medal of the Olympiad was awarded to Selim Halikov, an eighth-grader of the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Ashgabat specialized boarding school.

Two bronze awards were received by Rahim Agamuradov and Suleyman Kochkarov-representatives of specialized schools No. 86 in Ashgabat and No. 24 in Dashoguz, respectively.

The role of the mentor of the national team consisting of six students from different regions of our country was performed by the mathematics teacher of the capital's specialized boarding school Arslan Hojiev.

The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova and the National Agency for Training Programs and Assessment.The participants of the Olympiad were high school students from 21 countries of the world.

Together with representatives of our country, young mathematicians from Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Romania, Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, the Philippines, Turkey, Croatia, France and other countries participated in it.
