Turkmen school students are bronze medallists of the 35th Balkan Math Contest

Serbian capital Belgrade hosted the 35th Balkan Math Contest on May 7 12 where 107 high-school students from 11 countries of Balkan Region and 7 guest states including Turkmenistan took part.

Our team consisted of 5 high-school students of the capital boarding school for talented children and 11th grade student of Ashgabat school No. 135. Mathematics teacher Arslan Hajiyev was the master of young intellectuals.

Participation of Turkmen team in international contest resulted in three bronze medals won by students of boarding school, 11th grade student Jepbar Asgarov and Akmurat Tirkeshov as well as 10th grade student Kadyrberdy Annabayev. Student of scholl No. 135 Agamyrat Begenjov received the consolation prize.

Under out-of-competition programme, the children familiarized with cultural and historical sites of Belgrade and traditions of Serbian people.
