Turkmen sambo wrestlers won one gold and two bronze medals at the 47th World Championships that ended in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
On the last day of the competition, Begench Baltaev won the silver medal in the team of Turkmenistan. The trainer of the 2nd sports school of the Committee on physical culture and sports of Lebap velayat Begench Baltaev achieved his success in the weight category up to 79 kg in sports sambo.
Guvanch Begaliev won a bronze medal in sports sambo (up to 98 kg) and Babajan Ivadullaev in combat sambo (over 98 kg).
Let’s remind that on the first day of the competition, serviceman of the Military Unit No.1001 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Muhammet Kossekov of the Turkmenistan team won the highest award.
The second day of the World Championship, two more bronze medals were won by representative of the National Martial Arts Federation of Turkmenistan Kakageldi Egenbayev (up to 71 kg) and coach of the sports school of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports Batyr Hojamuhamedov (over 98 kg).
The World Sambo Championship was held in Bishkek from November 11 to 13. Representatives of more than 50 countries took part in the tournament.
