Turkmen Private Sector Surpasses Production Targets with 104.1% Achievement

The growth rate of agricultural and food production volumes, according to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, reached 104.1% in January-February 2024, as stated by Batyr Atdayev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for the Trade Complex and Textile Industry, during a recent Cabinet meeting on Friday, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media.

In his report, the Vice Premier highlighted that the growth in trade turnover volume, according to the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations for the corresponding period, amounted to 102.2% compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange conducted 49 trades, resulting in the conclusion of 4,455 contracts, noted the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

According to the Vice Premier, in January-February of the current year, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCI) organized 16 forums, with the growth rate for the activities carried out by the CCI reaching 103.4%.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to enhance trade operations based on international experience, providing specific directives to the Vice Premier.
