President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed new laws approved at a recent meeting of the chambers of the country’s bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh Mejlis and Halk Maslakhaty, Turkmenistan’s Watan Habarlary news program reported on Sunday.
The signed documents include the laws “on introducing amendments and additions to the Criminal Code of Turkmenistan and approving it in a new edition”, “on ratification of the Treaty between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan on the delimitation of the Turkmen-Kazakh state border and delimitation of adjacent areas of fishing zones in the Caspian Sea”, “on ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the regime of the Turkmen-Kazakh state border”.
The Head of State also approved the laws “on the Ratification of the Agreement Establishing the International Islamic Trade and Finance Corporation”, “on the Ratification of the Act on Amendments to the Charter of the International Labor Organization”, “on the Ratification of the Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property”, “on accession to the Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific”, “on Accession to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards”, “on Accession to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods”, “on amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan “on courier communications”, “on amendments to the Customs Code of Turkmenistan”, “on amendments and additions to the Tax Code of Turkmenistan”, “on amendments and additions to the law of Turkmenistan "on Audit Activity", "on amendments to some legislative acts of Turkmenistan”, as well as “on amendments and additions to the Code of Turkmenistan “on Land”.
These laws will be published in the official Turkmen media in the near future.
