Turkmen President Sends Condolences to Nepal Over Devastating Earthquake

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent deep condolences to the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Ramchandra Paudel, and Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, in connection with the earthquake in the western region of the country that caused numerous human casualties, injuries and destruction, the Turkmen official media reported on Sunday.

The head of state, on behalf of the people, the Government of Turkmenistan, and on behalf of himself, expressed sincere empathy and support to the families and friends of the victims at this difficult moment, as well as wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Nepalnews reports that an earthquake of magnitude 6.4 on the Richter scale struck Ramidande district, Jajarkot, at 11:47 pm on Friday, causing severe loss of life and damage in Karnali province. A total of 157 deaths and 125 injuries were reported.

Additionally, residents in the Nepalese capital and cities in India, including Delhi, experienced strong tremors.
