Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court during his working visit to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28) on Saturday.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the successful development of intergovernmental relations on a bilateral and multilateral basis, the official press of Turkmenistan reports.
On his behalf and the behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Turkmen President congratulated the high official of the UAE on their National Day.
He extended his wishes of happiness, prosperity and success to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the friendly people of the UAE.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also expressed sincere gratitude for the hospitality extended to the delegation of Turkmenistan and highly appreciated the organisational level of the COP-28 conference held in Dubai.
In response, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed sincere satisfaction regarding Turkmenistan's achievements in the United Arab Emirates. He also conveyed the Emirates' keen interest in elevating bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President of the UAE, exchanged mutual wishes for good health, prosperity, and peace for the brotherly peoples of the two friendly nations.
In his speech at the COP-28 meeting, the Turkmen leader said the country is joining the Global Methane Pledge and supports Turkmenistan's proposed Declaration on Climate and Health.
