Turkmen President Meets With Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Wednesday as part of his working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the official Turkmen media reported.

President Berdimuhamedov thanked King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the invitation to participate in the summit.

The sides discussed the prospects for the development of Turkmen-Saudi cooperation and noted the constructive participation of the two countries in multilateral dialogues. Special importance was attached to the recent Summit, which played an important role in strengthening mutually beneficial ties between the Persian Gulf and Central Asian states.

At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed confidence in the further successful development of the interstate dialog and exchanged good wishes for each other and the people of both countries.

The Turkmen President called for stronger economic, cultural, and sports ties between Central Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) at the GCC-Central Asia summit in Jeddah on July 19.
