President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan in Ashgabat on Wednesday, the official Turkmen media reported.
Hakan Fidan conveyed to the head of state, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov heartfelt greetings from the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who addressed his wishes of well-being and prosperity to all Turkmen people.
In turn, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed his best wishes to his Turkish counterpart and expressed confidence that the planned talks and meetings with the Turkish Foreign Minister in Ashgabat would give a new incentive for further development of bilateral interaction.
Prospects for expanding cooperation were also discussed during the meeting. The head of state expressed confidence that the upcoming official visit to the Republic of Türkiye would soon open new chapters in the development of friendly and brotherly relations between Turkmenistan and Türkiye.
The President of Turkmenistan noted that the states actively cooperate in almost all spheres of the economy and highlighted the presence of significant opportunities for the development of fruitful relations in the fuel and energy sector, transport and communications.
At the end of the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan expressed confidence that the traditionally friendly interstate cooperation will continue to develop successfully on a mutually beneficial basis.
In this regard, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ashgabat on Wednesday. After the meeting, the ministers signed a programme of cooperation between the foreign ministries for 2024-2025.
