President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
The sides highlighted the success of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Central Asia+Japan Dialogue, a platform for discussing topical issues of constructive partnership, the official Turkmen media reports.
The parties emphasized the effective nature of interstate cooperation successfully developing in the trade-economic sphere. It was stressed that for many years the leading Japanese companies have been productively working in various sectors of the Turkmen economy and contributing to addressing the tasks set in the socio-economic development programs of our country.
Reaffirming Turkmenistan's interest in strengthening the interstate dialogue with Japan, President Berdimuhamedov said the necessary support would continue to be provided to Japanese companies in Turkmenistan.
Expressing gratitude to the Head of the Japanese Government for the invitation to participate in the fourth Asia-Pacific Water Summit, which will take place on April 23-24 in Kumamoto, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that today rational and efficient use of water resources is essential to sustainable and sustainable development.
The water issue is among the pressing challenges facing the international community, the solution of which requires the consolidation of efforts of all countries, the Head of State said.
