Turkmen President Instructs to Build New Plants For Processing Hydrocarbons

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the cabinet meeting on Monday gave instructions to Shahym Abdrakhmanov, the Deputy Chairman of the Government overseeing the country's oil-gas industry, on construction of new plants for processing hydrocarbon raw materials.

The Head of Turkmenistan also instructed the Vice-Premier to use the production capacity of the oil and gas complex effectively and accelerate the implementation of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project, the country’s official media reports.

President Berdimuhamedov also stated the necessity of carrying out deep processing of oil and natural gas and increasing the volume of production in order to use the full capacity and ensure the uninterrupted work of the fuel-energy complex enterprises.

The Vice-Premier was also charged to analyze the situation in the supervised sphere and to take all measures to properly organize work of subordinate structures.

The government meeting summed the results of activities of sectors of the national economic complex over the past nine months of 2022, and discussed the progress of the Presidential and other programs of socio-economic development of the country.
