President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on vacation, on Wednesday visited the Garşy military unit of the Naval Forces (Navy) located in the western province Balkan and inspected the Deňiz han corvette-class military vessel.
The Minister of Defense, Secretary of the State Security Council Begench Gundogidyev briefed the Head of State on the readiness to inspect the Deňiz han corvette-class military vessel of the Navy, the country’s official media of reports.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov inspected the combat capabilities, technical characteristics and design features of a modern vessel, its functions and compartments.
The ship's servicemen took special courses and improved their skills in Italy, Germany, Turkey and other countries.
At the same time, the Head of Turkmenistan observed the solemn military parade featuring different types of ships, combat boats and boats of the Naval Forces, the State Border Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of National Security.
On Monday, the President of Turkmenistan took part in the groundbreaking ceremony of the new road bridge across the Garabogazgol bay.
