Turkmen President Holds Phone Talks With Afghan, Kyrgyz, Kazakh Counterparts

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Thursday held separate telephone conversations with President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev. The countries’ Presidents exchanged mutual congratulations on the occasion of the completion of the holy month for all Muslims Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan during a telephone conversation noted the productive nature of the established partnership in trade-economic, fuel-energy and transport-communications spheres and stressed that currently, with the participation of the two countries, joint large projects are being implemented in these spheres, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.

Continuing the conversation, the sides also noted with satisfaction that today new transport and energy corridors, aimed at achieving sustainable development of the region and the world, are being formed due to the efforts of the two neighboring states.

During a telephone conversation between the Turkmen and Kyrgyz Leaders, the parties discussed the priorities of bilateral interaction, emphasizing the importance of holding business meetings that contribute to the establishment and intensification of productive contacts, including between the business circles of the two countries.

Noting the high level of interstate cooperation, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Sadyr Japarov stressed the importance of expanding partnership in the humanitarian field, particularly in strengthening scientific and educational ties and cultural dialogue.

The Heads of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan stressed that the countries will work towards intensifying multidimensional interaction.

On the same day, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Turkmenistan and the President of Kazakhstan. The Heads of the States emphasized that there is potential for increasing cooperation in almost all areas of bilateral partnership, including in the political, trade-economic, humanitarian-cultural spheres.

The Presidents expressed confidence that the traditionally friendly Turkmen-Kazakh relations will continue to develop dynamically in the spirit of good-neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation.
