Turkmen President Expresses Condolences to Leadership of Japan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent condolences to Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in connection with the earthquake that occurred in the central region of Japan, causing numerous casualties and injuries, the official Turkmen media reported on Tuesday.

On behalf of the people and government of Turkmenistan and his behalf, the Turkmen leader conveyed words of deep empathy and support to the families, relatives and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also sent condolences to Emperor Naruhito of Japan and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in connection with the earthquake that occurred in the central region of Japan and caused numerous casualties and injuries.

A magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck Japan on Monday, resulting in 57 deaths, the Kyodo News reports.
