Turkmen President Expresses Condolences Over Death of Shinzo Abe

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a message of condolences to the Emperor of Japan Naruhito and the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida due to tragic death of former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe.

Shinzo Abe, a prominent politician and a wise statesman, did a great job for the well-being of Japan and the happy life of its people,” Berdimuhamedov said in his message, the official Turkmen media reported on Friday.

The Head of Turkmenistan identified Abe as “a true friend of the Turkmen people,” adding that he “made a significant contribution to the development and strengthening of Turkmen-Japanese relations.”

President Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the bright memory of Shinzo Abe will forever remain in the hearts of present and future generations.

The President of Turkmenistan conveyed words of deep sympathy and support at this difficult moment to the relatives and friends of the deceased, as well as to all the friendly people of Japan, according to the report.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh, also sent his condolences due to the death of Shinzo Abe to Emperor Naruhito, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Chairman of the House of Representatives of Japan Hiroyuki Hosoda.
