Turkmen President Congratulates France’s Macron on Re-Election

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov offered his sincere congratulations and best wishes to Emmanuel Macron on his re-election as President of France.

"We highly appreciate the friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the French Republic, and we are confident that these ties will continue to develop in the interests of both countries," President Berdimuhamedov said in his congratulatory letter, the country’s official media announced on Monday.

The Head of Turkmenistan expressed to President Emmanuel Macron heartfelt wishes of good health, happiness and success in new undertakings.

Emmanuel Macron won the French presidential election with 58.54% of the vote. The 44-year-old Macron is the first French president in 20 years to win re-election. He was first elected President in 2017.

Turkmenistan and France established diplomatic ties in March 1992.
