Turkmen President Celebrates International Children's Day at Palace of Orphans

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the Döwletliler Köşgi (Palace of Orphans) on Tuesday on the occasion of the International Children's Day and took part in the festive event.

The President met the fosters of the orphanage and inquired about their well-being, activities during their free time, studies and academic achievements, the country’s official media reports.

President Berdimuhamedov also inquired about their vacations and future professions.

Having congratulated the fosters of Döwletliler Köşgi on the International Children's Day and on the successful completion of studies, President Berdimuhamedov said the state always takes care that children have a good rest, receive high-quality education and upbringing.

On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the fosters of the Döwletliler Köşgi also received presents on the occasion of the date.

On June 1, the children will also receive holiday gifts on behalf of Chairman of halk Maslakhaty chamber of Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and at the expense of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

In this regard, the Fund allocated a total of 500 thousand manats on the occasion of the International Children's Day.
