President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded the Arkadag medal at the Oguzhan Presidential Palace Complex on Tuesday.
The awarding ceremony was attended by Chairperson of the Mejlis, the Turkmen parliament, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as heads of military and law enforcement agencies, the country’s official media reports.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded this high award for ensuring legal guarantees of protection and legitimate interests of the people, implementation of a set of organizational, legal and economic measures aimed at adaptation of children in need of special care and social support in the society, special merits in the development of charitable activities, implementation of the principles of humanism, justice and mutual assistance in the country, constant support to the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Char Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, and the ongoing support to the activities of the Charitable Fund.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Arkadag medal was also awarded to several Turkmen citizens, and the head of the pediatric and neuroorthopedic department of the Dritter Orden clinic (Munich Dr.
Vincent Frimberger and the Chairman of Çalık Holding Ahmet Çalık.The awarding took place within the framework of the international forum organized in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the occasion of the Day of Health Care and Medical Industry Workers of Turkmenistan.
The awardees were solemnly presented with a medal, a diploma and a special gift with the logo of the Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.
In addition, the awardees were solemnly presented with a medal, a diploma and a special gift with the logo of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.
