Turkmen President Attends Turkish President Erdogan’s Inauguration

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the inauguration ceremony of Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the President of Türkiye on Saturday at the invitation of the Turkish side, the official Turkmen media reports.

Berdimuhamedov’s participation in the inauguration ceremony of President Erdogan is a vivid evidence that the two friendly countries aim to further deepen the fruitful interstate dialogue, a solid foundation of which is the common historical, cultural and spiritual roots of the two brotherly nations.

The inauguration ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan saw attendance of 21 Heads of State, as well as 13 prime ministers and representatives of international organizations, including the Organization of Turkic States, NATO and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Erdogan won the May 28 presidential election with 27,834,589 votes, 52.2% of the total ballots. Following the inauguration ceremony, the Turkish President unveiled his new Cabinet of Ministers.
