President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in a mass bicycle ride on Thursday on the occasion of World Health Day, the official Turkmen media reports.
The morning ride was also attended by the government members, parliamentarians, the heads of military and law enforcement agencies, public organizations, the media, university rectors, and students.
The route of the cyclists ran from the monument Bicycle located at the intersection of Chandybil Avenue and Bekreve Street through the capital's highways to the Ruhiyet Palace.
During the ride, the Turkmen President demonstrated his physical and athletic training. Earlier, holding various leadership positions, the Head of State, the honored coach of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov also regularly participated in such events, proving the advantages of active and healthy lifestyle by personal example.
