Turkmen pilgrims completed the Hajj to Mecca and Medina

A group of pilgrims from Turkmenistan performed the hajj to Saudi Arabia, visiting the sacred places of Islam. Yesterday, the last members of the group returned safely to their homeland, TDH reports.

During Eid al-Fitr, one of the most important holidays in Islam, representatives from all five velayats and the capital of Turkmenistan joined millions of pilgrims from around the world in Mecca and Medina to participate in rituals of worshiping the holy Kaaba and performing other traditional rites.

The pilgrims arrived at Ashgabat International Airport on a special flight and were transported on modern buses to the Hezreti Omar mosque, located in the Parahat-7 residential complex. They were warmly greeted by their family and friends at the entrance to the mosque.

It is noted that during the Hajj, which coincided with the blessed Eid al-Adha, pilgrims brought Eid al-Adha, praying for the well-being of the country.

Prayers were also raised for the repose of the souls of the grandparents of the President of Turkmenistan Ogulabat and Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov.

“May the Almighty accept the rite of hajj, pilgrimage to holy places and prayers offered for the good of the country, the happiness of the people and all humanity,” the message concludes.
