Nine feature films created by Russian cinematographers in different years compiled the program of the Days of Russian Cinema, which opened today in the capital, in the Ashgabat cinema center.
Modern movies will be presented to a wide audience in the framework of the cultural event organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan, together with the Ministry of Culture of our country, whose premieres took place in the last two years.
The film-drama Salute-7, directed by Klim Shypenko, based on real events and awarded the “Golden Eagle” awards in the “Best Film” nomination and “Nika” for the best cinematographic work are among them.
Spectators will be attracted by dramatism on sports topics - the melodrama “Ice” (2018), directed by Oleg Trofim and “Coach” (2018) by Danila Kozlovsky.
The program of the Days is a military detective "Three days until spring", filmed by director Alexander Kasatkin" for the 72nd anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and describing the first blockade winter of Leningrad, the exploits of people defending the city on the Neva.
The audience’s attention will attract the comedy melodrama by Ilya Severov “Divorce of his own will” (2015) and the musical film “The Bird” by Ksenia Baskakova (2017), which was shot in the same genre.
“Mosfilm” presents the film “Courier” (1986) based on the story of the same name by Karen Shakhnazarov, also as a tribute to the memory of the outstanding artist Alexei Batalov, who would have turned 90 this year, the legendary film by Mikhail Kolotozov “The Cranes Fly”, awarded in 1958 the year of the main prize of the International Festival of Cannes - "Golden Palm"

The “Mosfilm” Days were held with great success in our country.The general director of the Mosfilm Concern, a famous director, screenwriter and producer, People’s Artist of Russia Karen Shakhnazarov, as well as famous filmmakers presented the tapes shot at one of the oldest film studios to the Turkmen audience.
All these activities are links of one chain - the process of cultural interaction between the two countries, which is a powerful consolidating factor at the present stage of development of independent states.
The spectators and guests of the capital will be able to attend film screenings at the “Turkmenistan” and “Ashgabat” cinema centers on November 4. The similar action will be held in the same period in Turkmenabat and Mary.
