Turkmen para powerlifters won two bronze medals at the World Championships in Dubai

The World Para Powerlifting Championships ended in Dubai (UAE), in which about 500 athletes from 80 countries took part. Turkmenistan, under the leadership of honored coach Tahyr Shorahanov, was represented at this tournament by 10 athletes who won two bronze medals, ORIENT reports.

Bronze medalists were Bayramgeldi Saparov and Ovezgeldi Ordzhiev, who performed in the category over 45 years old. Bayramgeldi Saparov lifted 165 kg in weight up to 80 kg, and Ovezgeldi Ordzhiev lifted 150 kg in weight up to 88 kg.

Para powerlifting is a Paralympic sport for persons with musculoskeletal disabilities. During the exercise, the athlete demonstrates upper body strength.
