Turkmen National Teams to Compete at Olympic Games in France

Turkmenistan's national teams will participate in the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games and XVII Summer Paralympic Games scheduled for this year in Paris, France.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nurmuhammet Amannepesov provided an update to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday. Amannepesov detailed the ongoing preparations of the national team for their participation in the Games, the official Turkmen media reports.

The Deputy Prime Minister also presented the Work Plans for 2024, encompassing areas such as science, education, health, sports, and public organizations.

As part of the Work Plan, the International Scientific Conference "Magtymguly Pyragy and Universal Cultural Values" and the Third Turkmen-Chinese Scientific Innovation Forum are slated to take place this year in commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Turkmen poet Magtymguly.

During the meeting, the Head of State stressed the importance of monitoring the implementation of events outlined in the Work Plans of the mentioned institutions for the current year.

The Deputy Prime Minister also received instructions to ensure the adequate preparation and successful hosting of the first International Mathematical Olympiad among schoolchildren, scheduled to take place in the city of Arkadag in March of this year.

The government meeting also deliberated on draft documents and other related matters.
