Turkmen musicians awarded first places at the International Festival "Sounds of Dutar"

The Moscow International Festival of Arts "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov named the laureates of the music competition, including Turkmen musicians who performed in the category of "correspondence listening": a string orchestra conducted by Tahir Atayev, violist and conductor Tahir Atayev and violinist Bahram Dolyev.

This is their first experience of participating in an international competition, and their debut was successful: each of them took first place in their category.

Turkmen musicians performed works by Nury Halmamedov and works by composer Mamed Huseynov.

We remind that this project of Mamed Huseynov was conceived as a one-time action in honor of the anniversary of Nura Halmamedov, but soon acquired the status of an annual international festival of arts "Sounds of Dutar".

The sixth season of the festival was planned to be held in the fall of 2020, but due to the global pandemic, it was postponed to 2021.

The festival has been running since 2015, and includes a composers' competition and a music competition. According to the official website of the festival, the results of the composers' competition will be announced on December 12 this year.
