Turkmen karatekas won two bronze medals at a tournament in the UAE

Athletes from Turkmenistan won two bronze medals at the international karate tournament “Youth League”, which was held in Fujairah (UAE), reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The competitions under the auspices of the World Karate Federation (WKF) brought together 2070 athletes from 78 countries aged 12 to 20 years, competing for medals in their age groups.

According to the Karate-Do Federation, the Turkmenistan national team was represented by 25 athletes, 2 coaches and 4 international judges.

Bronze medalists in the Turkmenistan national team in kumite (fights) among cadets were: Alimuhammet Kakalyev - weight category up to 55 kg among athletes under 14 years old and Gurbannazar Amandurdyev - in weight category up to 52 kg among athletes over 14 years old.
