Turkmen Foreign Minister Meets With Chinese, Kazakh Counterparts in Nur-Sultan

The Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan held meetings with his Chinese and Kazakh counterparts on the sidelines of the third meeting of foreign ministers of Central Asia and China in Kazakhstan’s capital Nur-sultan on Tuesday, the Turkmen foreign policy agency said in its press release.

The meeting of Meredov with the Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi focused on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on the implementation of agreements previously reached at the highest state level.

During the discussion of the bilateral trade-economic issues, the sides paid special attention to mutually beneficial cooperation in the gas, transport and communications sectors.

The Turkmen and Kazakh foreign ministers in a meeting discussed regional and international issues.

The Caspian issue was a key topic of discussion. The sides particularly discussed preparations for the 6th Caspian Summit to be held in Turkmenistan this year.

The top diplomats of the countries stated the need to maximize the use of modern land and sea transport infrastructure available in Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
