Turkmen Envoy, Kazakh Companies Discuss Prospects of Turkmen-Kazakh Transport Ties

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov on Friday met with representatives of leading Kazakh logistics companies to discuss the prospects for the further development of cooperation between the two countries in the transport-logistics sector, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.

The meeting gathered representatives of such companies as Astyk Trans JSC, Iskomtrans LLP, Semurg Invest, KTZ Express JSC, First Multimodal Company LLP, TransLogistics Group LLP, and the Ministry of Trade and integration of Kazakhstan.

The Turkmen diplomat informed the participants about the latest achievements of Turkmenistan in the field of transport logistics, including the commissioning of the Ashgabat-Tejen section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway.

The participants were also introduced to the possibilities of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, the agencies of Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen Motor Vehicles), Türkmendemirýollary (Turkmen Railways) and Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines).

In turn, representatives of Kazakhstan’s logistics companies, proposing to strengthen cooperation in the exchange of information on transit cargo, expressed their readiness to cooperate with their Turkmen colleagues.

At the end of October this year, the Kazakh President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev arrived in Turkmenistan on a state visit. The high-level Turkmen-Kazakh negotiations resulted in the signing of bilateral documents on bolstering ties.
