The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, Parahat Durdyev, together with representatives from other countries, visited the eastern province of Shandong. The trip was held within the framework of the “Discover the Beauty of China” tour, according to the “Turkmendenizderyayollary” website.
In Shandong, Durdyev met with the provincial governor, Zhou Naixiang. During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat expressed sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Culture of China and the People's Government of Shandong Province for the opportunity to get acquainted with the history, economic achievements and natural beauty of this hospitable land.
Parahat Durdyev focused his attention on the historical ties between Turkmenistan and China, including within the framework of the global initiative “One Belt, One Road”.Noting that Shandong is the birthplace of the great thinker and philosopher of ancient China, Confucius, Durdyev mentioned that this year the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi is widely celebrated in Turkmenistan and abroad.
Like Confucius, Magtymguly also called for peace, good neighborliness, and friendship.
In this regard, he spoke about the great Turkmen thinker Magtymguly Fragi, whose legacy has deeply influenced the current political philosophy of permanently neutral Turkmenistan.
The Ambassador noted the unique commonality, although separated by thousands of years, between the two countries.
