The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection takes part in the 79th session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), which began its work on May 15 at the UN Conference Center in Bangkok.
As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports today, the session on the topic "Acceleration of climate action in the Asia-Pacific region for sustainable development" is aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in the field of climate change.
The session brings together government leaders from the Asia-Pacific region and other stakeholders to discuss the regional cooperation needed to accelerate climate action in the region and beyond.
The ESCAP session will last until 19 May.
