Turkmen delegation in Bangkok met with the Executive Secretary of ESCAP

Within the framework of the 79th session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Bangkok, the Turkmen delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan met with the UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Secretary of ESCAP Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahban.

According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties expressed a common opinion on the need to intensify cooperation between Turkmenistan and ESCAP, to continue the dynamics of the active participation of Turkmen specialists in thematic seminars and conferences held by ESCAP.

Thanking the Turkmen delegation for participation in the 79th session of the Commission, the Executive Secretary proposed to develop resolutions on water issues in the region in the future and expressed the readiness of ESCAP to actively cooperate with Turkmenistan in this direction, the source notes.
