The Turkmen delegation has travelled to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, to participate in the 12th Joint Turkmen-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation meeting from November 26-28, 2023.
Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed an order on Sunday appointing Tangryguly Atakhallyev, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers responsible for the agro-industrial complex, as the leader of the Turkmen delegation, the official Turkmen media reports.
During the committee's work, the parties are discussing ways to expand economic, trade, technical, scientific and cultural cooperation, energy in the field of energy and water resources, including import of oil products to the Republic of Tajikistan from Turkmenistan, collaboration in the area of transport and industry, NIAT Hovar reported on Monday.
The 12th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation will be held until November 28.
Furthermore, a delegation from Turkmenistan led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamammedov will be visiting Vienna, Austria, to attend the 20th session of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) from November 26 to 30, 2023.
The visit aims to discuss bilateral cooperation in construction and industry.Meetings with the UNIDO management and the Vienna City Administration are also scheduled during the visit.
